Our Social Mission
The Careers Programme Group is committed to linking both employers and job seekers to help educate, train and sustain job seekers into a range of inclusive employment opportunities, within several underrepresented sectors.
Here at the Careers Programme Group (Careers PG), we strive for inclusion in all that we do and support this by offering more accessible and fair routeways into employment, via our employer-led pre-employment programmes. Each of our programmes are both created and refined in collaboration with our employer partners, who are industry experts within their field. Our employability programmes are ‘industry-led’ to ensure that all our job seekers are pre-trained and placed into employment opportunities, based on what our employers feel they will ‘really’ need. What is even better, is that our learners naturally have a fairer chance at doing so by being a part of our programme. As you may have read by now, we strive to ensure that our programmes are inclusive whilst ensuring our training is truly ‘fit for purpose’.
We believe that not ‘one size fits’ all and that talent comes in many shapes and forms, meaning it should be allowed to be showcased in many different forms too like our traineeships and industry-led ‘work experience’ programmes.
How do we support this mission?
The Careers PG team offer information, advice and guidance on every type of entry-level role within our sectors and believes that job seekers should be able to make their own decisions without any biased judgement. To support our mission we offer everyone the opportunity to explore the different career paths by offering free information such as online workshops on careers, ethics and inclusion within each of the sectors.
All our employer partners have pledged commitment ‘to offer on the job training, accessible work placements and ring-fenced employment opportunities’ to our learners, which has supported us in our 96% success rate of placing people into paid employment opportunities
The Careers PG team are passionately committed to supporting every candidate to find work by enhancing their employability skills with the same end goal, to successfully secure and sustain employment within their chosen sector.
All of us here at the Careers Programme Group are huge advocates for ‘on the job’ learning and in-work support. This enables us to successfully support candidates who often tend to struggle in a standard interview scenario. We bridge the gap and give candidates a fairer chance to showcase their skills based on their ability in the role, not on an interview which some may find difficult due to a variety of factors.
We have supported all kinds of people from a range of backgrounds to find accessible and sustainable employment not based on a CV, not based on how well they interviewed, but based on the capabilities, behaviours and commitment to learning, do the job and start their careers.
Nothing is a challenge for us and we want to continue to eliminate any stigma that is often still surrounding disabilities, race, sexuality and gender in the workplace
